CCA Workshop Weekend (Saturdays) x H&M Community Garden

The CCA Workshop Weekend is a hands-on skill building event that takes place the first Saturday of every month at our collaborative workspace in Compton, California. These Saturday events provide opportunities for our students as well as the greater community to develop their firsthand skills with tools and tasks that are staples in the construction and utilities sector. We provide the space for attendees to learn and use but not limited to drills, saws, scanning equipment, solar panels, pneumatic tools, garden equipment, gas meters, and piping. The work that is being done out at the garden is not only enriching to the students, but we are on a mission to construct a community garden in the backyard residence of Dr Holloway who has graciously allowed us to take over her yard and use it as an outdoor classroom. The H&M Community will be a future educational space, community garden, and enrichment zone.
